GETTING STARTED

Your first board,
step by step.

You bring the project. Gatherlane gives the conversation a home.

1. Create your board

Open your workspace and choose New project. Add a name and a short description that tells visitors what you'd love to hear about. Choose an icon and a color, then create the project.

Your account keeps ownership of the project. You can edit its branding later in project settings.

2. Collect feedback

Copy your board link and share it with people who have access to the site. They can suggest an idea, add their name, choose a category, and explain what would help.

Vote for an idea to support it; click again to remove your vote. Open an idea to read and add comments. Search and filters help you find the conversation you're looking for.

3. Make a plan

As the project owner, open an idea and change its status. Planned, In progress, and Complete appear on your roadmap. New ideas start as Open. Use Closed for requests you won't take forward.

4. Share an update

Open the Updates tab in your project and write a title and message. Publish when you're ready. The update appears on your board's Updates page.

Updates are published on the board; this version doesn't send email notifications.

Accounts & access

Sign in with ChatGPT to own and manage projects. Your account is recognized when you return. Visitors can contribute to accessible boards; anonymous contributions use a necessary browser cookie to remember their votes.

The demo creates a separate sample workspace so you can try the full flow. Its example ideas are clearly marked as demonstration content.

The site starts private. To invite a wider audience, its owner must first adjust the site's sharing settings. Sharing a board URL does not override those settings.
